Better listen to Kaylee. I know I always do. It's how I ended up watching the show. I love when she talks with a big grease spot on her forehead!
Browncoat1969 Featured By Owner Sep 19, 2011
I'll bet Serenity uses a Capissen 38 engine. xD

I love it when she's dirty. I like to see the axle grease on her face, with a big goofy smile. Kaylee is my perfect fantasy dream girl.
purpleumpa10 Featured By Owner Apr 1, 2010  Student General Artist
She's not my dream girl, she's my hero!!!I really don't think I ever would of gone back to mechanics if it weren't for her.
Phat-Force Featured By Owner Apr 15, 2010
That's my full time job. It would be a lot more fun if more women did it.
purpleumpa10 Featured By Owner Apr 17, 2010  Student General Artist
I don't know, none of the guys ever talk to me. Like ever, and I go to school for it, so...*shrugs* I love it but I get zero appreciation for it from the opposite gender...Or the same gender for that matter...
Phat-Force Featured By Owner Apr 18, 2010
What the heck is wrong with those people! Woman, come over here! I would totally appreciate your presence in the shop, and your capacity to talk shop. In the words of Sam Witwicky, "I don't mind a female working on my engine. I prefer it actually." I would enjoy getting showed up by you, just like that dude that originally turned the wrenches on Serenity. Hey How's your inner geek? Got any Star Ship designs? I am tortured by the fact that my most recent overhaul of my Kraken is made entirely of off the shelf stuff that a government or corporate conglomerate could assemble right now. Just a few key components still in development.

*laughs* Two words; Teenage boys. I go to a career center for diesel technology. I've been dealing with it for two years now but thankfully this is my last (and most torturous) year in high school. I'm not so confident of my shop talk, but having no one to talk it with, and having not studied it much on my own doesn't help. I know I have the ability to keep up to a point, but none of the guys seem able to stop and explain when I get lost. Except a few friends outside career center. *grins* I would love to work on your engine, it's the most rewarding of shop work. To me at least. *stops* Oh...So not meant sexual...In this case anyways. My inner geek...Well, she's decent, and loves her glasses and her video games. Though she's not developed enough to design ships. She definitely needs work. I really like space movies though I've never designed spaceships before. So maybe my inner geek needs more work. Kraken, as in Pirates of the Caribbean, or am I missing something? You'll have to explain this in depth as I feel I've most definitely missed something.
Phat-Force Featured By Owner Apr 21, 2010
I went to a similar career center at 18, then to the Army's training center for artillery and mechanics. But I have forgotten so much! I used the name Kraken because of the ships resemblance to the mythical creature. Do they show that in one of them pirate movies? High School wasn't the best of times for me. I'd say my early 20's were better. Hanging out with my girlfriends made life fun. I'm not a player. I'm one woman kinda guy. But women make such good friends. The fun ended with my marriage. Big mistake. I married the wrong one, and even God tried to tell me. But it didn't compute. If only there was a girl in that Diesel course I took in high school. I would have recruited her to help build my 454 pickup. Got any experience with Japanese 4 cylinder gas engines? I used to roll American V8s but who can fuel those these days?

I plan on going into the navy after graduation. Yeah, Johny Depp is about to be eaten by it and all he says is "Ello Beasty". I loved that part. It's sucking for me as well. The saying that high school is the best years of our lives is bull. For everyone except the insanely popular it seems... That's like the stereo-type that I'm a slut because I prefer hanging out with guys cuz they get me better then chicks do. So, did you get divorced or no? I wouldn't hold it against you, as both my parents have been. They call them their "Practice Marriages" O.O *drools* I love trucks. I wish the guys would recruit me. No, not yet, but I don't plan to give up anytime soon. We need to get my grandpa's Ford Falcon up here so my dad and I can restore it. They parked it out back and threw a tarp over it after he died in '01....It's in crappy shape now, as you could imagine. Before he died it was in perfect shape...The work on it is going to take three years of Sundays...

Oh, Kaylee... you're such a sweetie-pie, in the best language you know how. :(

It's a sad scene, but you captured everyone's facial expressions perfectly, here -- Simon's ":\", River's ":c", and Kaylee's ">[".

I can't wait to see the rest of this series!
